Our Story
Built by an Agent Who
Saw the Industry Change
Friedum™ wasn't built to compete with real estate agents. It was built by one, because the industry needed to evolve.

Evan Schechtman
Founder, Friedum™
Before Friedum™, Evan Schechtman spent years as a real estate agent since 2018, and a successful one. He built his career on deep market knowledge, strong client relationships, and the kind of hands-on expertise that comes from closing hundreds of deals across all property types.
Over those years, Evan developed a genuine understanding of the complexities that come with a real estate transaction: the condo regulations that vary building to building, the HOA rules that can make or break a deal, the title nuances that first-time buyers never see coming. There are moments where expert guidance makes a real difference.
But he also watched something else happen. More and more buyers and sellers started doing their own research. More transactions started with a Google search, not a phone call. The role of the agent, at least as a pure information gatekeeper, started to shrink.
The turning point
"I've watched AI reshape industry after industry. Real estate is next. The question isn't whether it changes. It's whether you're ahead of it or behind it."
The agent industry is shifting. More people are leaving the profession every year. Commissions are under scrutiny. Buyers and sellers are more informed than ever. Evan saw this not as a threat, but as an opportunity to build something better: a platform that gives people the tools, the transparency, and the direct access they deserve, while still connecting them to the professionals they need when it matters.
Why Friedum™ Exists
Transparency
Real estate has historically been an industry where information flows through intermediaries. Buyers don't always know what sellers know. Sellers don't always know what buyers are thinking. Friedum™ changes that. Both sides talk directly, with full visibility.
Efficiency
The traditional transaction process is slow by design. Messages filter through agents. Offers take days to get a response. Deals drag out for weeks. Friedum™ collapses that timeline. Direct communication means decisions happen faster, for everyone.
Savings
Agent commissions can reach up to 6% of the sale price (up to $30,000 on a $500K home). That money doesn't go toward making the transaction better. It goes to the middleman. Friedum™ puts it back where it belongs: in the hands of the buyer or seller.
Help when you need it
Going direct doesn't mean going alone. Friedum™'s network of licensed attorneys, inspectors, lenders, and contractors is there for every step of the process, at flat fees, not percentages. You get expert help without the commission math.
